Online, December 29, 2015 (Newswire.com) - 1 in 50 people are living with a brain aneurysm, and may not realize it until it ruptures. A brain aneurysm ruptures every 18 minutes. Through brain aneurysm awareness, education, advocacy and research lives can be saved.

The Brain Aneurysm Foundation has been working to create brain aneurysm awareness, education, advocacy, support and research grant funding since 1994. The foundation is inspired by those in the community that have been effected by brain aneurysms, those that have lost loved ones due to a brain aneurysm rupture, and those living with the debilitating effects of a rupture.

The Brain Aneurysm Foundation has made great strides over the past two decades. In January, the foundation will be completing three separate awareness projects. One is an early detection video for medical professionals from EMS providers, to nurses, to urgent care providers, and beyond to recognize the signs and symptoms of a brain aneurysm and to bring a brain aneurysm into their differential diagnosis. With the help of Emmy Award winning producer Mitchell Stuart, the foundation has developed a provocative awareness PSA, as well as a video documentary honoring the life of Ellie Helton who lost her life at the age of 14 to a brain aneurysm rupture. The foundation has also begun to develop educational materials geared toward educating children.
