Inspiring family-friendly event will benefit the Brain Aneurysm Foundation and Nebraska Medicine
Online, August 12, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Please join us for the 3rd Annual A Sharp Race Towards Brain Aneurysm Awareness on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Zorinsky Lake, located at the 156th and "F" Street Entrance at Shelter 5 in Omaha, Nebraska.
Now in its 3rd year, the 3rd Annual A Sharp Race Towards Brain Aneurysm Awareness will consist of a timed 5K Run and a 1-Mile walk to support research and provide education on brain aneurysm awareness in Omaha and surrounding areas. There will also be many family friendly activities, raffles and a silent auction for all to enjoy.
Please join us this September as we continue to raise awareness and funds to help prevent other brain aneurysm families from facing the same struggle.
Local resident, Anita Sharp who suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage from a ruptured aneurysm in December of 2012, inspired the inception of this event. After a long and tenuous journey, Anita is making excellent progress and living at home independently. Her strength and amazing recovery continue to inspire so many who have been affected by brain aneurysms and provide "Hope for a Better Tomorrow."
Festivities begin at 10:00am with the 5K, followed by the 1-Mile Walk at 10:15am.
The regular registration fee is $30 through September 4th. After that the fee increases to $35. All who register by September 13th receive a complimentary t-shirt. Children under 12 may accompany a paid adult.
Those unable to attend the event but wish to support this very important cause may do so by registering as a Virtual Participant for $50. Again, register by September 13th in order to receive a complimentary t-shirt.
